Ivory Lovelust!

Online Drawing Class Ivory Lovelust!  Wednesday 8th July

We are really pleased that Ivory Lovelust found the time to join us! A plus-sized, tattooed powerhouse who strives to dismantle traditional beauty standards and spread love, joy and the queer agenda wherever she goes. We are hoping for a colour explosion, lots of rich tones and textures. A positive statement in odd times!

Natasha

We were privileged this week to have the pleasure of drawing Natasha who is six months pregnant.
It felt special, which of course it was.

It was the first time we had a pregnant model online, and to be honest we were really nervous, but there was no need, Natasha is supremely professional, and was the perfect model.

Not only was she the perfect model, she is also making images from the session available if anybody wants to use them for further study. It rare to have the opportunity to draw a pregnant model it’s certainly a facility I am going to use. Go to link https://ko-fi.com/cycleoflife, a small donation I required.

Attached are drawings from the class

Online Life Drawing Live !

Online Drawing Class, Wednesday 24th

Max is a French model based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been modelling regularly with art sessions across Scotland for figurative and portraits drawing and painting sessions, and is continuing with live sessions during lockdown. As a photographer, with photographer’s eye he is really practised at framing and lighting. This could be our most professional yet!

Dominique

Online Life Drawing is new to all of us. And we are experimenting with the possibilities. In this session we took the unusual step of asking Dominique to talk through a few of the poses. Playing with two ideas. First that one of the differences between drawing a human (or in some cases animal) and a bowl of fruit, is empathy. The second is the possibility, or impossibility of drawing and listening at the same time.

Online Life Drawing Live !

Online Drawing class, Wednesday 17th

Although she will not thank me for saying it, Dominique is an artist, she works tirelessly at developing the craft of Online Modelling. A new form that she is leading the game at. I was stunned at the level of professionalism she showed on our first encounter and really pleased she has agreed to return. Words like bizarre, dynamic and even weird spring to mind, and she may even be joined by a special guest!

A fantastic evening !

Liat was wonderful last night, she posed from her apartment in Edinburgh. Liat is a keen pole dancer, but has no access to a pole! But she did use a hula hoop to great effect. As well as getting into some fascinating poses. A fantastic evening !

Online modelling requires a lot of the model

I’m sure everyone will agree that Amelia was wonderful last night. She was responsible for developing nearly all the poses. In case anyone thought it was me being particularly cruel! Some of the shorter poses required a particular form of athleticism.
We are discovering. Online modelling requires a lot of the model, they have to monitor the framing of the image, as well as being the image. It’s a bit like being a model and photographer.

Wednesday 3rd June

Amelia was one of our first online models, in the days when we were getting used to the idea of online. She is one of the models that has now taken Online Life Drawing to another level, with views that are impossible in a conventional drawing class. This will be excellent!

Opera !

Mariangela was our model this week from her apartment in Rome. It provided the perfect opportunity to play Latin music and of course Opera (how could you resist!). It has taken a while to become accustomed to using models from different parts of the world. But until models become accustomed to posing online (it is really different to conventional modelling) I am only happy using models I have already seen working. The only way I know to guarantee a professional approach!

Life Drawing from Rome !

We welcome Turris Eburnea an experienced female Life Drawing model from her apartment in Rome! As with all online models, I only select ones I know are really professional, and I have seen working online before. Satisfaction guaranteed! On Wednesday 27th May @ 7pm.
