Drawn Together, Drawn Apart

Drawn Together, Drawn Apart is a collaborative drawing and dance project conceived and led by Joseph Lau, Shona Roberts and Joseph While. Exploring themes of memory, time and movement, the project brings together dancers Joseph Lau and Shona Roberts with artists from the Chorlton Alternative Art Class to create an interdisciplinary art event in which drawing and dance come together to interact and influence one another.

“God, how we get our fingers in each other’s clay” – Ray Bradbury, Something Wicked This Way Comes.

To date, Drawn Together, Drawn Apart has been performed twice, once as part of The Turn festival of dance in April 2013, and once as part of the Chorlton Arts Festival in May 2013 – some photos from the shows are featured below. We hope to be able to continue exploring this exciting project in future!
