I will miss Life Drawing in the coming weeks

The NHS needs protecting so I am not complaining about Lockdown.

But The NHS needs protecting so I am not complaining about Lockdown.

But I will miss Life Drawing in the coming weeks. For me Life Drawing is an almost Zen or spiritual occasion. I write often about the silence in the room (except the music), with nobody speaking throughout the poses. It is one of the reasons The Edge was confident Life Drawing would be the safest way to open from the last lockdown.

We have been incredibly lucky with our choice on venue, the Edge takes all precautions to ensure a safe environment, and there support and advice has been invaluable.

Sophie was our model for the final class before Lockdown, and she was the perfect model for the occasion!

Life Drawing is one of the most civilised activities I know of, in all the years I have run a class, I have never encountered any difficulty, not even had to ask anybody to be quiet!

Graced by Kelly

On Wednesday we had another Life Drawing class. With social distancing a priority, it is amazing how quickly you can get used to wearing a mask!

We were graced with Kelly as the model, it was her first day modelling since March, and she managed wonderfully well.

Great class with Adam

Despite me calling our wonderful model Adam, Andy for half the night the class ran wonderfully well. Embarrassing as I have known Adam for many years, and he is one of my favourite Male models! We still expect to run the class next week, though the café will not be open, due to obvious restrictions. The class is already close to capacity, so unless you have already booked there is little chance of attending 😦

I still after all these years find amazing.

It is the world’s worse kept secret that Wednesday evenings Life Drawing class is the highlight of my week. The fact that everybody in the room is totally concentrating on drawing for the best part of 2 hours, I still after all these years find amazing.

Molly was our model last week, and she is joining the class next week because we have a male model (Adam), who she would like to draw!
